Ama Ghar was founded in 2001 by Shrawan Nepali. It's purpose was to give homeless children in Nepal a loving home. There were 7 children in the beginning. Ama Ghar now has 50 boys and girls, their own home, solar power, waste water recycling, and they grow much of their own food. We also have 13 graduates who are all employed including a doctor, a nurse, an IT professional, a flight attendant, and several in the hospitality business. We are doing very well at our mission to raise strong, healthy, caring kids!
We need new champions! And we want youth! This is a great charity for people under 30 to get into now. It is small, real, you can visit, and you can make a huge difference in someone's life. For that reason we are offering a free guest ticket to anyone under 30 who purchases a ticket. That is, buy a ticket, bring a free guest. (For those under 30, while they last, call 415-259-9273 to register your free guest).
